Family Film seeks Extras of All Ages
Hollywood is coming to Fredericksburg and extras are needed for the film!  A feature film based on the book by Fredericksburg resident David Cook – Seven Days in Utopia – will be shot in Fredericksburg and Utopia late July and early August.

The movie is based on golf and will be filmed in part at the Boot Ranch Golf Course, as well as other venues around town.  Producers of the film are holding a casting call this Saturday, July 17 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 18 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Inn on Barons Creek’s Walch Haus Conference Center, 308 S. Washington St. in Fredericksburg.

They are looking for golfers, golfing fans, as well as men, women, and children of all ages for non- speaking and some speaking roles.  The casting call will consist of a brief talk with a member of the Utopia Films, LLC casting team and possibly an interview on camera.  If possible, interested parties should provide a non-returnable photo during the interview.

No appointment necessary and it is not necessary to have prior acting experience. Compensation will be provided for all speaking roles and most extras roles.  The production is also looking for volunteer extras to attend several big, golf tournament games.  For information, call 830-965- 6601 or send e-mail to .
Editor’s note:  The Texas Film Commission with the Texas Governors’ Office has certified this film as a legitimate effort.  Think Smithville and the movie Hope Floats!
